  Welcome to Pittsburg Community Theatre!

Well, we are halfway through our season! M*A*S*H was a SMASH hit! The Little Mermaid made huge waves and we won the case in "A Case of Libel." We are happy to announce that our next production, "Shakespeare Comes to Calamity Creek" is now going to be presented on the main stage in the Creative Arts Building in Pittsburg. Tickets are now available!

We are still waiting for a revised contract with the Pittsburg Unified School District(PUSD) and hope to reach an agreement soon. We encourage all our patrons to write PUSD and let them know how much PCT means to you and the community. Write to: Pittsburg Unified School District 1000 Railroad Ave. Pittsburg, CA 94565. We will let you know what we know, when we know it!

As soon as we confirm where we are performing next season, we will announce our next season shows. We hope you come to our upcoming productions and encourage you to purchase season tickets. Thank you again for your continued support; we look forward to seeing you!

Sincerely,
Betty Brown
Executive Manager, Pittsburg Community Theatre

  "Acting on Impulse!" for 2012-2013!

Our theme this year is "Acting on Impulse!"

Our season opened with the production of M*A*S*H, directed by Dianna Schepers, at the Creative Arts Building. Eddie Hart, 1972 Olympic Gold Medalist even made a special appearance as "Spearchucker" Jones. It was a hilarious show and everyone enjoyed it thoroughly saying it was like the TV show was right on the stage.

Our holiday children's show, we presented Disney's The Little Mermaid Jr.. Director David Ward brought us a truly magical "Under the Sea" experience; along with an original one-act play, Tale of the Blue Moon. This show closed to a packed house and lots of great memories.

Next up is our drama production. A Case of Libel, directed by returning PCT Member Kris Neely, is based on a true story and is sure to intrigue and entertain you.

We round out the season with a melodrama. Betty Brown is bringing us Shakespeare Comes to Calamity Creek. This production is sure to bring many "cheers", "boos" and laughs with a taste of the Ol' West!
