The recipients responsibility is to place a symbol on the coat to represent the show and what it meant to them. Since then the coat has not only been
given just to the cast, but has also been given to other members of the production from the house staff to the crew.
There have been four coats made over the years. Three were unfortunately lost in a fire and one is still being passed on from one production to the next.
